If I could wish for a few things to make my life's tapestry richer, I would have to choose to sew it with more:
1. Focus
2. Faith
3. Fidelity
4. Forgiveness
Focus~
I have found that as I get older I have less focus for myself but I have greater expectations for what I feel should be happening with my life and that of my family.
Faith~
I have not chosen a belief system and looked to it for guidance. I am going to seek out my faith, and allow it to speak to me with a voice that I can hear and understand. Not necessarily religion, just "something" to believe in.
Fidelity~
The definition of fidelity is Faithfulness; adherence to right; careful and exact observance of duty, or discharge of obligations. Adherence to a person or party to which one is bound; loyalty. Adherence to truth; veracity; honesty.
This has nothing to do with my marriage. I have absolute fidelity when it comes to my husband and our marriage, without question.
Forgiveness~
There have been so many missed opportunities for forgiveness to be given or received. I want to not allow these moments to pass me by. I want to forgive the perceived and real slights in my life and allow myself to be forgiven for so many of the things I carry guilt over.
Its not life that's important, so much as the act of living it.
I want to spend more of my time focused on the joy within and around me in this world and to focus less on the harsh and often discouraging darkness that dances on the periphery of us all.
This Blog is going to be my account of living my life on my terms, loving my family, and musings on being me, warts, jiggly bits and all.
You are more than welcome to come along.
